Part of scouting is all about developing ‘skills for life’ and to help scouting has developed 100’s of aged-focused activities and awards into comprehensive programmes. Plus, it is great to see armfuls of badges. We all love badges!!You name it, we’ve got a badge for it – over 200 of them. Young people work together on badges at their weekly meetings, away at camps and events, or they can even work on them at home in their own time.
There’s never any pressure to do badges. We base our programmes across Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts on how young people are progressing and growing, using the Challenge and Activity-based badges as a guide.

… next, uniforms…….
Working towards and achieving badges is fantastic, but the often-asked question is, where do the badges go on the uniforms? To help answer this question, the following links take you to pages specific to each age group.
The links also have information on where to buy uniforms from the Scout Shop. There are other vendors that also sell the uniforms, so if you would like to know more, please ask your section volunteer:
