COVID-19: All face-to-face Scout meetings, activities and events are currently suspended. This suspension applies to young people and adults, and will be until further notice. Please see our news section for updates on virtual scouting activities.

Our beavers belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family. Beaver Scouts are young people aged between six and eight years old.

Young boys and girls can join Beaver Scouts in the three months leading up to their sixth birthday. They can move to the next Section, Cub Scouts, between seven years and six months and eight years six months.

Beavers are easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts.  They enjoy everything scouting has to offer in being introduced to outdoor activities, having the opportunity to be creative, and explore the local community. They will gain a range of badges and challenge awards to recognise their achievements and may experience their first sleepover with their friends.

We currently have one Beaver colony called Osprey. They meet at Dinton Village Hall on Thursdays at 5pm-6pm.
