Bernwood Scouts Celebrate Major Milestone: 500 Members and Counting!

The 1st Bernwood Scout Group is proud to celebrate a remarkable achievement this week – welcoming our 500th member since 2018!

This milestone was marked as the very last of our group membership badges was handed out to invest new Squirrels and Beavers. With the supply of 500 badges now fully used, a new order has been placed – a moment that symbolises just how much the group has grown in recent years.

Scout Leader Martin shared the news:
“After sharing the last of my group badges with Melle today to invest some Squirrels and Beavers on Thursday, I realised we’d reached a special point. Since 2018, we’ve welcomed 500 young people and adult volunteers into Bernwood – Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Leaders. That’s a fantastic achievement and a testament to all the time, energy and passion our volunteers give. Thank you so much for everything you do in Scouting.”

This milestone reflects not only the success and appeal of Scouting in our community but also the dedication of the leaders, helpers and parents who make it possible.
