Scout Camp 2025

Date: 26th Jun 2025 Author: Ruth Jeffery

This year’s scout camp at Youlbury was a cracker.

We arrived on Friday evening to start the weekend with frisbee golf and rounders. Saturday and Sunday, we split into 3 teams and did a round robin of all the following activities:

Ariel Trek, Tomahawk Throwing, Low Ropes, Crate Stacking, Zip Wire, Aeroball

Oh and loads of cooked breakfasts, snacks and lunch and dinner. Plus a campfire and more games.

What the parents said:

Thank you so much for giving the children another wonderful weekend. They are so lucky.

What an amazing weekend for the scouts! Thank you so much to you all for the hard work organising and cooking plus giving up your weekends to take them away. Hope you all have a restful evening to recover!

Great feedback, our scout really enjoyed the weekend – especially the zip and the tomahawks! Thank you all so much.

Scout camp is one of the most exciting and memorable parts of the Scouting experience. It’s a chance to get outdoors, try new things, and make lasting memories with friends. But beyond the fun and adventure, camp offers Scouts something even more valuable: the opportunity to grow as individuals.

Whether it’s earning a new badge, overcoming a fear, or simply managing a few days away from home, every Scout leaves camp with a sense of achievement. These moments help build self-esteem and show young people just what they’re capable of.
