VE day celebrations Falcons cubs

Date: 19th May 2020 Author: Martin Summerhayes

Falcons cubs presented family photos and items from world war II as we all learnt what it was like living at that time, and the way people celebrated with the end of the war in Europe – VE day. We planned activities we could do with our families in a lock down VE day party celebration and some key events for the 8th May. The cubs especially embraced this activity with some incredible achievements with making cakes, bunting, wreaths, flagpoles and poems. One cub created bunting using 7 photos from individual family members who engaged in different roles in the war, and through this display, learnt so much about her own amazing family members. A historical work of art to treasure in remembering the 75th year VE day. Visit our cubs gallery to see this wonderful display.
